11 Weeks Old

Hallie's gonna get you Amelia!

Here she comes!

Amelia in her blessing dress. I made her shoes. This is the dress I was blessed in. Most of my nieces were blessed in this dress too. It barely fit her. We waited for Uncle Jake, Aunt Leslie and Hallie to be here for her blessing. She was so cute for the blessing. Jake said she was staring and smiling at Jared the whole time.

Mommies and their babies. Amelia's "pretending" to sleep... Hallie really is sleeping.

Family picture the day of Amelia's blessing.

Harrison, Amelia, Jared, Dave, Elliotte, and Jake. The boys, of course, blessed Amelia. There were a few others in the circle that were unavailable for the picture. But we tried!!!

Jake and Leslie had Amelia laughing today. She's laughed for me before, but not this consistent. And it's hard for me to make her laugh while taking a video. So WE GOT IT! It has been so much fun having everyone here. Gonna miss them. :(

Hallie and Amelia finally meet

Jake, Jacob, McKay, Leslie, and Hallie at the OB Pier.
Hallie likes Amelia's swing. She likes chewing on her toys even more!
Uncle Jake and Amelia. He wants to know her hair styling secrets.

Leslie and the girls.

Jake, Leslie, Hallie, McKay, and Jacob drove down to see us yesterday. It was the first time Hallie and Amelia met. First thing Hallie did when she saw Amelia was grab her hand. It was so cute. Hallie likes pulling Amelia's hair and grabbing her face. But Amelia doesn't mind. She loves Hallie and is happy she is here to play with her.

10 Weeks Old!

Sweet little Amelia. I can't believe it's been 10 weeks! She is sleeping very well. She's not the one that keeps me up at night..... it's Jared! :) She usually sleeps from 9pm - 7/8am. So I am feeling GOOD these days. We haven't been going for long walks this week. It's been over cast and I don't want to be stuck out in the rain. Well, at least that's my poor excuse. We've been keeping busy enough avoiding earthquakes and such.

These are the slippers I made Amelia when I was pregnant. I think I made about 6 pairs of these for other people. I meant to make her some more.... but ran out of time. Time..... what a concept. I'm glad I got a chance to crochet and knit before I had my baby. Now I guess I will pick it up again when I'm a granny. Or learn to do it while feeding her. Hey, I like to multi-task.
Uncle Billy came to visit Amelia before he moved to Arizona. This is the first time he's held her, but about the 5th time he's seen her. She liked him. I think he needs to lift some 15 pound weights so he can hold her longer next time. ;)

Daddy put Amelia to sleep. Most days he can hold her after he comes home from work and showers. It's nice to have him home. He gets so busy with other obligations. :( Amelia loves her Daddy and gives him big smiles with her tongue sticking out. It's the favorite part of his day.

Amelia is laying on the quilt Gladah made her. It is so bright and beautiful. Amelia talks more and more. When I put the camera in front of her face she is so curious about what that thing is that she stops doing her cuteness. So the cuteness you see is only part of the cuteness that she actually is. ;)

9 Weeks Old!

I think I hear a giggle in this video. She laughed earlier this week. It went from a fake cry to a hahaha. So cute.

Julian Drive

This weekend we drove up to Julian to surprise Grandma and Grandpa Niles. They were helping out with a bikeride. I think we succeeded in the surprise.
Amelia did not like the drive there or back. She slept the first hour on the way up, then the crying came. And didn't stop till she was out of her carseat. She does not like her carseat. She will tolerate it for a while, but then I better get her out. I wanted to just take her out and hold her but have to obey the law. Plus, that road is scary. Sad little baby girl.

8 Weeks Old

Amelia is 8 weeks old! Today she got her shots. :( I started feeding her before they gave her each shot. She would scream and her face turned all red during the shot, but then she just latched right back on and was ok. I just was really careful dressing her. Made it home without her crying. She passed right out on my shoulder as we left the doctors office. My sweet little baby girl. I held her most of the day and nursed her. Every once in a while she would just scream. I gave her some baby tylenol and that seemed to help. I just spent the last 45 minutes on the bed with her laughing, cooeing, and talking. She seems to like my terrible singing voice. Her bellybutton wasn't healed up all the way so the doctor had to put nitrus oxide on it to seal it. We might have to go in again next week to do it again. She is in the 90th percentile for head size and height. And off the charts for weight. She weighed in at 14 pounds today. She is 2 months and one day old.
