Do these pants make me look fat?

Here I am at 8 months and 1 week pregnant! Hopefully I get one more picture in before baby comes. You can see my cat on the right side of the pictures. She is begging me to come and give her some lovins. She is going to be SO JEALOUS in a few weeks when I give something else more attention.
Amelia was doing some acrobatics in my belly after my shower this morning. (Yes, I still shower.) I love watching her move around in there. Can't wait to see her!

Oatmeal Coconut Chocolate Chip Cookies

So here's the recipe I love. The one that never fails me. THIS is the recipe that I have modified myself from years of using adding my own variations. I started making cookies with my older brothers. They taught me to add more brown sugar than white sugar. Then I got the coconut added in from my Aunt. I can't remember when I started adding in the Baking Powder. I just think it gives the cookies more ooomph. haha. And I figured out that using COLD crisco makes the cookies more firm. I don't like it when my cookies get all runny. You ever use butter that's too melted and notice how the cookie dough just doesn't look right? I don't know, maybe YOU like that. I hope you enjoy. I DO! And of course, I ALWAYS make a double batch. Silly.

1 Batch of Oatmeal Coconut Chocolate Chip Cookies:

1 Cup Crisco - Butter Flavor (comes in one cup measurements) Keep refridgerated.
1/2 Cup White Sugar
1 Cup Brown Sugar
1 tsp Vanilla
2 Eggs
2 1/2 Cups Flour
1/2 tsp Salt
1 tsp Baking soda
1/4 tsp Baking powder
1/4 Cup Coconut
1/2 Cup Oatmeal
1/2 package Chocolate Chips (2 cups)
nuts, if you are (yuck)

Mix the COLD Crisco (Butter Flavored) and the sugars very, very well.
Add Vanilla + Eggs
In a seperate bowl mix the flour, salt, baking soda, baking powder, coconut, and oatmeal.
Add dry mixture to wet mixture 2 cups at a time. You don't have to mix this alot, just till flour is blended in.
Add Chocolate Chips
Cook at 375 degrees for 10 minutes.

My First Blog

We are getting ready for baby! Tonight we bought a glider rocking chair from a local OB-cean for $200. It has not been used and was originally sold for over $400. What a deal! I've learned you have to be aggressive on craigslist to snag a chair before someone else gets it. So I've been checking craigslist about twice a day for the last week and I finally was the first caller on this one. So now it's ours. (Thanks Mom for the $$$) All we really need now, besides baby Amelia, is a carseat. I so excited! I even get excited over the little itsy, bitsy diapers. I love the way they smell. And I really love the free samples I keep receiving from Pampers and Huggies. Bring on some more! Jared's mom is throwing us a baby shower this Saturday.... three weeks from the due date! I was convinced from a friend (Shawna Mama) it would be better this way cause I will have to store everything and so it might as well be closer to the due date. I can't believe that I am having a baby shower, that this is my life, and I am SO HAPPY. I couldn't imagine it better than this. Jared has been a champ of a husband. He gives me back rubs and foot massages. He takes such good care of me. And he doesn't let me buy too much stuff. I would really have gone overboard on baby clothes. So far, what I've bought has been on sale. I've been pretty good. It's been a huge blessing to have friends that give me their pass me downs. Shawna Mama has given me so much, my boss Carola has given me so much. I really appreciate it. I have other friends that say they are going to give me their stuff and am looking forward to it cause I love their taste.
