7 Weeks Old

Amelia has been on a sleep "schedule" since March 8th. It has been working splendidly. We put her to bed between 7:30 and 8. We start by giving her a nice warm bath with bath milk. Then we get her out and rub lotion all over her. She has special face lotion seperate from the body lotion - this was given to us. Then we dry her off with a hair dryer. She loves it. When she is dressed and swaddled I feed her for about a half hour. Usually by then she is either asleep or close to it. Then I put her in her bed. Half the time she stays asleep, the other half she is still in a sleep state, but whimpering a little. We just leave her and she falls asleep. She usually wakes up around 2:30. But she seems to be sleeping later more often than not. Her longest stretch was 9 hours. She is such a good baby. So easy. I feel extremely lucky.

5 Weeks Old!

I just thought I would do an update video on Amelia. She is 5 weeks old now. She likes to sit up on the couch and make faces with me. We got lots of smiles today. She is such a happy girl in the morning. This morning was the first time Jared really got to hang out with us and see all her neat tricks. He's been so busy doing side jobs or leaving early for meetings on Sundays. Today he didn't have any meetings. At church Jared wore the ring sling while I taught class and she slept the whole time. She also lasted halfway through the next hour with him. It was so weird to be without her for that long. I loved teaching my class though. I missed them!

Amelia rolled over again this week. Yeah, she's pretty amazing.

Fun with Grant and Mason!

We went on a walk to the park in IB with our two little guy friends Mason and Grant. And we were super stylin' in our Bob strollers. Amelia tried out the swing at the park for the first time. She wasn't a fan, but we'll get there soon enough.
